Getting there is half the fun!

The driver

She looks happy to be getting started.

And a quick one of me before we leave the driveway!

I dangled toys from the roof for her to play with.  She didn't think this was as awesome as I did, so halfway through the trip I abandoned the idea.

She much prefers the front seat... very dangerous of course, so only when we are stopped!

We stopped at a lot of playgrounds.  Funny how the further away we got from Austin the more dangerous the playgrounds looked!  I didn't expect that.  This one in Plainview, Texas (west texas) looked much like the ones I grew up with.

stretching out the legs at the playground

Turtle ride

Taking a nap in the car after getting worn out at the playground.  We preferred traveling while she napped since she gets a little anxious in the carseat.  I mean, I get pretty anxious in my seat I can't imagine being so strapped down for hours!  Poor girl has no concept of "Just 50 more miles till the next stop!"

A fun new toy MiMi bought her for the ride.

Eating lunch on the car.  mmmm hummus and bananas!

This is the exit we just barely didn't get in a wreck in!  For some reason Chris was just a little slow to go at the green light as someone ran a red light and hit the car just to the right of us!  Now thats close!

A quick stop at the Denver Children's museum!  We got there just 20 minutes before closing, but we have a pass to all the major children's museums in the world so we had to stop by just to check it out.  She loved it!  Wish we could have gotten there earlier.

So cute!  Handing things out the window for her daddy to play with too.

ATVing at the park

This girl LOVES slides.  She can get up on them and slide down them all on her own now

Chris starts a game of hide and seek.

Found him!

oh auto timer on the camera makes for some interesting family pictures

Something more legit about an REI in a real out doors community.
(Come on, Austin's greenbelt does not constitute real outdoorsyness)

Most expensive hotel we stayed at was also the worst.  We were totally tired and just had to stop somewhere.  This Wyoming town was filled with hunters staying the night and so most places were booked and priceline wasn't available.  Makes for a fun story later!

We did not put potty training on hold just because we were on vacation!

He is so happy. :)

All of us are doing our own thing at the playground.

trying to put his hat on for him

looking in her bag of fun (random toys)

We made it!

I'm so happy!

Her first buffalo sighting!  (or were they bison?  I keep forgetting!)

Come on blogger!  This picture was suppose to be up there with the other museum pictures.  I wish I understood how to post a blog better!
So those are pictures from us getting to Jackson Hole!  I'll post the rest of the vacation at nap time! :)
