Leave me alone!

So our baby is starting to let the personality shine now. One of my midwives was looking for the baby's heart beat with the Fetal Doppler. After what seemed like 5 minutes, probably more like 20 seconds, we couldn't hear it. As she kept moving the stick around looking for the heart beat she told me how often babies don't like the sound of the sonogram and move around to get away from it. Finally, we heard the soft sound of a heart beating just 3 or 4 quick beats and then "BAM!" The midwife laughed and kept trying with another "BAM!" She laughed and said, "Did you hear that?" She told me that we caught the heart beat just for a second there and then he kicked the doppler a couple times to get her to stop!

Since I wasn't sure I heard the heart beating she told me she could keep trying, but she promised it was there. Her promise and the baby's kicks were good enough for me today. I feel like the baby is starting to show some personality and that makes me even more happy than hearing a heart beat.
